Project 68: Bringing the Charger back from the grave

Dubbed Project 68, a new vehicle was added to the restoration stable, a patina potential darling in a 1968 Dodge Charger.

As a restoration project found on the side of a barn sitting over 30-years, this original red paint, white interior, leather top car with a 318 was picked up with Super Street dreams and major potential after some blood, sweat, tears and love.

Stay tuned to future updates on Project 68 as the 1968 Dodge Charger begins the climb from rotting afterthought to Super Street beast!

After sitting for nearly 30 years, this 27,000 original mile machine does have some typical B-Body wear. First goal, remove the rot!

Project 68 is a life-long dream of Mopar fanatic and second-generation drag racer Ronnie Kohrt to build from the ground up a 1968 Dodge Charger to drag race across the country. It’s a behind-the-scenes look at the grind of restoring a car without the glitz and glam of big money, a large shop or a race team. Just a middle-class guy with a passion for horsepower and vehicles.
